Hoodia Supplements

Hoodia supplements are made from a plant, Hoodia Gordonii, which looks like a cactus, although in reality it is a succulent that grows naturally in the desert regions of South Africa.  For thousand of years the natives have used the Hoodia plant to help them on their long hunting trips, to avert hunger, thirst and pain.

Hoodia is totally natural and safe to use.  Hoodia has no side effects, although some people have reported that it elevates there mood and has  a mild aphrodisiac  effect. It does not contain Caffeine, Ephedra, Chromium,  Magnesium, or any other stimulant drugs, additives or preservatives.

Many are heralding it the best discovery for weight loss in years, and this is backed by research. It cleverly tricks the brain into thinking you have eaten enough, and consequently reduces how much you need to eat.

Hoodia in supplement form was introduced to the US market in 2004, and its proven track record, has pharmaceutical companies keen to isolate the molecule responsible for its appetite suppressing qualities, so that they can market this as the diet drug of the future.

You should always be careful when buying supplements, and make sure you choose a reputable company, as some brands that claim they contain the Hoodia Plant, have been tested and in reality do not.  Always look for reliable testimonials and certification.

Hoodia supplements are available either in the form of a pill, capsule, liquid extract, powder, tea, or a patch. They are not all equally effectual, so consider this carefully, before you decide to use.

If you choose to use powders,  tablets, capsules or pills, you can expect to absorb between two and twenty percent the nutritional value. This is because the manufacturing process uses fillers and binders to hold the supplements together.

The Hoodia patches can be left on for twenty four hours and many find this extremely convenient, but again there is no actually guarantee, as to how much your body will actually take in.

Hoodia in a liquid form is easy to swallow and enters the blood stream almost immediately. As this form of Hoodia contains no binders or fillers, you can expect to have an absorption rate of up to ninety five percent.
