Fat loss 4 Idiots initially had me worried. This is because I have tried many times before to get to grips with a book with “for idiots” or “for dummies” in the title, especially regarding computer software.  However this is very different.  It is an online diet system, extremely well priced, and says it can help you lose nine pounds every eleven days.

The colorful website, fat loss 4 Idiots teaches ten idiot-proof rules of fat loss and dieting. It explains that low carb, low fat and low calorie diets don’t work. It says the reason so many of us are overweight or obese, is because we don’t eat at the correct times, and when we do eat, we eat the wrong types of fat and calories.

Most of the information is based around common sense.  You know the things that most of us know, but don’t do anything about, such as eating grains, fruits, vegetables, drinking plenty of water and avoiding foods high in sugar. However, fat loss 4 Idiots is different in that it doesn’t seem to promote exercise, and doesn’t believe that weight loss and exercise, are essentially connected. This goes against everything we are usually told, and unnerves me a little, but you only have to read the reviews to know that it has worked for people.

Fat loss 4 idiots involves eating more than three times a day to produce more fat burning hormones. It is also based around shifting calories, which surprises your metabolism, because you are doing the opposite of what you usually do. This is achieved by not eating the same types of meals or the same amount of calories for more than two days in the run. The theory behind this is that when all the calories you have eaten have been burned, the metabolism starts using your fat reserves. Of course you have to eat foods, which are considered fat burning compatible.

The fat loss 4 Idiots website has an “Online Diet Generator”, which does all the calculations for you, and presents you with a menu for each day. All you have to do is eat what on the menu!!
